GAO: No Attorneys’ Fees When Arguing that Corrective Action is a Ruse | SmallGovCon – Government Contracts Law Blog

When pursuing a bid protest before the Government Accountability Office, it is never a good idea to presume that you’ll get your attorneys’ fees paid by the agency.

If you are fortunate enough to recover attorneys’ fees , GAO’s general standard is to recommend paying the fees associated with all the protest grounds being pursued, whether or not they were meritorious. But although this is the general posture, it is not always the case.

You Cannot Protest an Award Until After the Government Debriefing

PNWC's Government Contracting Update

Celeris Systems filed a bid protest with the GAO (Government Accountability Office) over the award of a task order to a competitor, INDUS Technology. Celeris was the incumbent contractor on this particular work and argued that the Navy “misevaluated” its task order proposal.

FBI Drops Full and Open Competition for $5 Billion IT Recompete – Nextgov

The competitive pool for the FBI’s $5 billion IT commodity and services contract has been shrinking throughout the year and recently got even smaller.

Rather than hold a full and open competition for spots on the Information Technology Supplies and Support Services contract, also known as ITSSS or IT Triple-S, the bureau announced Friday that spots will be awarded to vendors that already hold contracts on the General Services Administration’s IT Schedule 70.
